The photograph used for the entry was first posted on EnglishRussia website on August 28th, 2006, and showed remains of an unidentified animal found by the Russian military on the Sakhalin Island. Originally a text-only entry, the SCP-682 was provided with an image by DrGears in the period between June 9th and July 26th, 2008, when the SCP Wiki started transitioning to WikiDot. #682 is also incredibly strong, and has escaped from SCP six times to date. It's physical body grows and changes very quickly, observed to increase by one square foot of mass every hour that it is not physically damaged. It appears to be extremely intelligent, and was observed to engage in complex communication with #079 during it's limited time of capture. Object #682 is a large, vaguely reptile-like creature of unknown origin. The SCP was also described as extremely intelligent and able to communicate with humans. The original entry, first posted on the EditThis SCP Wiki described SCP-682 as a rapidly-regenerating, incredibly strong reptile-like creature which "appears to have a hatred of all life".
